soooooooo something stupid happened last night with my pc and i had to run a windows repair, got that straight. reinstalled the game (it did something funny with the patches, it woudlnt let me play) got the game reinstalled, now its time for patches all over again right? umm apparently wrong... it stopped at 20% on 3.0.1.22 something or another saying that my computer was behind a firewall, so i turned it off and tried again. still behiind a firewall. even though im positive i dont have but one firewall. so i did some looking and pondering, more looking and pondering. did everything i read to do one the websites, now all i have to do is figure out how in the hell my windows firewall authorization driver magically disappeared, and how to get it back.... any ideas? aside from going office space on this laptop and buying a new one?

another consideration is going to a wow patch mirror site and download all the patches leading up to the current patch and manually installing them 1 by 1

Just so you know if you didn't delete your original installation folder all your patches are there, and all that needs to be done is to cut and paste them in to the new folder. The updater will run but it will fly through because the files are there already. As always you will need to log in after each patch to move onto the next one.
If you have deleted all those files check and see if your windows firewall is still running. Also check you anti virus program. if it has a fire wall built in you may need to add the game as an exception. Even with it turned off it can still prevent connectivity if the exceptions are not added. _________________ Chris (Big_Red_One)
